ABOUT US
Innovation & Dedication
Primal Surfacing, as part of the VSA group have a mandate for innovation - they are market leaders in the adoption of new technology and equipment. They have the youngest fleet, with the most highly advanced equipment in Australia - having just invested over $5 million in capital equipment in the last 2 years. With a flexible and responsive approach to service, and a diverse range of equipment, Primal can gear up or down for any job, big or small.
They have their own state-of-the-art production and storage facilities, and a dedicated fleet of bitumen tanks, trucks, rollers, sweepers and loaders. They have to - last year alone the VSA group sprayed 15 million litres of product.
Always embracing new technology, Primal were the first to introduce the side shifting rotary broom and side shifting spray bar. They are also the only company in Australia to use inline emulsion blending for manufacturing of all emulsion products, and they are the largest field blender of crumbed rubber via dedicated blending machines. Their approach to blending their own bituminous products demonstrates their engineering prowess and determination to remain an industry leader.
This innovation is no more prominent than when examining their exemplary environmental credentials. They are the largest user of both crumb rubber - a material that make the surface more elastic that is made from recycled tyres, and geo-textile - a fabric made of recycled coke and PET plastic bottles, that provides a strain alleviating membrane to disperse stress.
