OUR PROCESS

Flexible processes to solve every problem.

Pavement deterioration, cracking and loss of aggregate are the most common reasons for road resurfacing. Within South Eastern Australia, significant differences in climate conditions, traffic volumes, pavement uses and the rate of pavement distress results in differing seal life. Unlike others, Primal Surfacing has responded to the changing nature of pavement requirements by building and maintaining the most flexible and adaptive spray sealing process.

Sweeping:
Cleaning a pavement via rotary brooming or suction sweeping prior to the application of the bituminous product in order to provide a clean, dust free surface for the product to adhere too. And removing excess loose aggregate from the pavement post resurfacing to return the pavement to its original safe function.

Spraying:
Evenly dispersing a film of bituminous product at a controlled rate of application to achieve a predetermined design outcome onto various pavement types.

Spreading:
Evenly dispersing a single layer of aggregate at a controlled rate of application appropriate to the aggregates particle size onto the film of bituminous product.

Rolling:
Compacting the aggregate particles into the bituminous product in order to achieve an even mosaic prior to the curing of the binder for aggregate retention.

Loading:
Removing dust and undersized particles from the aggregate stockpile whilst coating the aggregate with a wetting agent to promote adhesion with the bituminous product during the loading of the spreading trucks.

Traffic Management:
The setting up and recording of appropriate traffic advisory signs to ensure safe working conditions for all road workers and the general motoring public.

Special:
Dispensing Geo-Fabric and Crumbed Rubber Blending.
